Our Vision

Phoenix Enterprise Centre is the entrepreneurial hub of Cleator Moor ensuring no one goes without and everyone is proud of being part of a thriving town.

Strategic Aims

1. Create an entrepreneurial culture in Cleator Moor
2. Provide high-quality diverse workspace
3. Ensure provision of social welfare support as needed
4. Encourage civic pride in Cleator Moor
5. Ensure PEC has the resources, systems, policies, and structures to enable the above aims

Purpose

To address economic deprivation in West Cumbria, by promoting economic regeneration and addressing unemployment through the following key activities;-

• The provision of managed workspace and office accommodation
• Employment and Benefits Advice and Guidance
• Food Pantry Support to those in financial distress
• Regeneration Activities

To Date

• We currently have 32 Tenant businesses occupying space within our properties.
• Our qualified Advice and Guidance workers support over 500 unemployed people every year.
• Phoenix Business Enterprise Food Pantry is helping to supply food bags to the most vulnerable families in our community on a weekly basis.
• We have three I.T. centres which are based in Whitehaven, Cleator Moor and Millom.
• PEC currently have 14 members of Staff, who are all local people.
• We believe in positively developing our workforce and volunteers, so they are prepared to take up opportunities as they arise.
